What the connection does
The connection uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to give ChatGPT a limited set of tools for one authorised website. Results are grounded in the content and SEO records returned by that website.
Plan connected content
Search existing content, identify relevant destinations and suggest internal links without inventing pages that do not exist.
Prepare drafts
With optional draft access, create or revise unpublished blog drafts. A person must review and publish every draft in the CMS.
Access stays narrow and reversible
An administrator selects the access level and expiry when creating a connection. The complete bearer secret is shown once, stored only as a one-way digest and can be revoked at any time.
Read-only access
Reviews public, indexable content and site context. It cannot read unpublished content or make changes.
Draft access
Adds access to eligible blog drafts for authorised CMS staff. It still cannot publish, schedule or modify a live page.
What it cannot access
- Form submissions, leads or private customer records
- Users, roles or account administration
- Stored passwords, API keys or service credentials
- Visual-builder pages or global site design
- Publishing and scheduling controls
Data and user control
Tool requests are processed to return the requested CMS information; NewEdge360 does not keep a separate prompt history. Content returned to ChatGPT may be retained there according to the user’s OpenAI account settings.
Administrators can revoke a connection immediately in the CMS. See the Privacy Policy for data categories, recipients, retention and user controls.
Availability and relationship
The connection is available to eligible NewEdge360 CMS customers and requires an authorised CMS account plus a compatible ChatGPT plan. NewEdge360 is an independent service provider. It is not endorsed by or affiliated with OpenAI; ChatGPT and OpenAI are trademarks of their respective owner.
